As long time friends, Emily and IÂ have always had entrepreneurial aspirations. Little did we know that as avid fans of candles and home scents we each wanted to set up a candle business of our own.
But, I have always thought, what can we do to stand out in this ever saturated candle industry? What are we missing in the candles that we use that we can address as we make our own? Well, it didn't take long when we discovered Pure Coco Wax in candle making - Emily made her first batch of candles, I immediately fell in love with it and asked her if she wanted to set up a candle business with me! She said yes and the weekends of us (and our kids and husbands) meeting, carefully planning, designing, through to making our candles, website and marketing stuff started- I could go on and on but nah!Â
Yes - everything you see of Artesano Candle Co is our brainchild and making. And that makes us more proud to be sharing to you, products (and aesthetics)Â that are not only from us but are of us.

We want to produce top quality eco-friendly candles and scents ensuring elevated aromatherapy experience. Â
Key ingredients to our products are pure coco wax, wooden wicks, lead free sustainers, and phthalate and paraben free oils.Â
Pure coco wax enhances every aspect and detail of candle making. It is a non-GMO product and has an amazing “scent throw”. It produces candles that have a slow and even burn and are smokeless and soot-free. Simply, it is, “scented candle experience...made better” and quickly proving why, it is the industry’s new darling! A tell-tale sign that the coco wax we use is pure, is that your candle may get to you with the top looking imperfect. Don’t fret, this disappears as soon as you light them and will not affect the fragrance, performance and the candle quality.
We also decided to use wooden wicks and lead free sustainers, classy and sophisticated, they are as well the healthier option as they produce little to no soot and burns cleaner. With wooden wicks - the candles do not produce carbon buildup resulting in easier maintenance and more prolonged usage. As we value the sustainability features of a candle, wood wicks are the easiest choice as they are very eco-friendly. As bonus, wooden wicks, crackle!
On Phthalate and paraben free oils - it is simple - phthalates are harmful to you, your pets and the planet. They can impact your natural hormones, can lead to serious health issues (like lower fertility and development issues) and worst of all, they expose you to higher risk of cancer. Using products that are free of them is a no brainer!
